Privacy & consent

Last updated July 6, 2026

Workgrain is a development and team-fit tool. It gives you a grounded read on how you tend to work and think. It is not a validated hiring predictor, an IQ or ability test, or a clinical or medical assessment, and it must never be used as a pass/fail screen. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you take it, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. Taking the assessment is voluntary.

Who it's for

Workgrain is intended for adults (18 or older) taking it in a workplace context — as an employee, applicant, or team member. It is not designed for, directed at, or intended to be used with children or students, and should not be administered to anyone under 18. If that describes your situation, don't take it, and contact us first.

What we collect

  • Who you are: your first and last name and your email, and — if you offer it — your current job title. If you take it through a company or a role invitation, we also record which company or role it belongs to. We also record when you ticked the consent box (and, for accounts, which version of the Terms you accepted).
  • Your answers: how you rated every statement across both passes (the natural-you pass and the current-role pass, including a few data-quality check items), and the per-dimension trait scores computed from them.
  • Anything you add: an optional note on what you imagine the role's day looks like, and any accuracy feedback you give on your result afterward.
  • If you create an account: your login email and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself).

How we use it

We use your answers to compute your grain across the work-style dimensions and the gap between your natural self and your current role. We then generate a written read, a report, and coaching responses tailored to those scores. We use your name and email to tie the result to you, to save it to your profile, and to reach you about it. We look at answers in aggregate to improve and calibrate the instrument itself. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

AI processing

The written read, report, coaching, and team analyses are generated by a large language model — Anthropic's Claude API. To produce them, your computed scores and diagnosis — and, when you use the coach, the questions you type — are sent to Anthropic to write the response (never your login credentials). Team analyses send the computed scores of the people being compared. Anthropic processes this data to return the text and, under its commercial API terms, does not use it to train its models.

Who can see your result

  • You — always, once you finish (and any time later if you have an account).
  • Your company's admins — if you take Workgrain as part of a company or through a role invitation, the admins of that company (and the owner of that role) can see your result and how it reads against the role. Members cannot see each other's results.
  • Workgrain operators — a small number of platform administrators can access results to run and support the service.

Access is enforced on the server; results are not public and are never shared beyond the above without your consent, except where the law requires it.

Never the hiring decision

Two rules travel with every result: (1) Logic and Invention measure thinking preference and style, not intelligence or the quality of your reasoning; (2) any percentiles shown are against our own working sample — provisional while that sample grows — and are never a measure of ability. Workgrain is built for development and team fit. Under our Terms of Service, a result may be considered only as one non-determinative input among several, weighed by a human — never as the sole or primary basis for a hire, promotion, or termination, and never as a cutoff, ranking, or automated screen.

Keeping it & your rights

We keep your result for as long as your account or your company's account is active, or as long as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. To make any of those requests — or to withdraw your consent — email mitch@weeksahead.ai. Withdrawing consent doesn't undo processing already done, but we'll stop and delete going forward.

Your consent

By ticking the consent box and beginning the assessment, you confirm you've read this notice and agree that your answers and the information above may be collected, processed (including by the AI described above), and shared as described here. If you don't agree, simply don't start — and email us with any questions first.
